Hugh Maine, Comedy And Other Stories I Have Told...

"If humor is the high road to enlightenment, then I am already there."

-Hugh Maine

Behind every man is their past. And here is a bit of mine...

Comedy has played a huge part in my life. In 1996 I made that love into a career when I, Mark Easton mild mannered homesteader, became “Hugh Maine, Moose Ranger for the Northern Maine Moose Watch Foundation”. For seven years I performed Maine Humor and storytelling throughout New England and along the east coast. Between recording two albums and live shows everyone was laughing.

Having grown up steeped in Maine Humor, (which, simply put is very dry and told with a Maine accent), it was a small step to start creating my own stories and performing. After exhausting the answering machines of family and friends, I turned Pro recording my first album "Hugh Maine, Moose Ranger Tells All" in 1996. Two years later I recorded my second album, "Welcome to Patten, Last Gas Before Ashland".

Originally released as an audio cassette, you can now download both my albums in mp3 format from Amazon.com. "Moose Ranger Tells All is also available from itunes, napster and rhapsody. "Welcome to Patten... will be available from them also probably by February 1, 2009, but you can check them out sooner if you like).

Learn about my friends at NMMWF, Ethel and Perky Perkins, Old Tom and many, many other characters from the 'North Woods O' Maine'...Deah.
