I have always kept a "Guest Book" wherever I have lived. Not the usual kind where you just list your name, address and the date; rather it has been a blank page book. In the early 1980's my girlfriend and I rode horse back from Maine to western New York (we had intended to ride all the way across the country), some where in New Hampshire we stopped at a farmhouse as one of our horses needed a shoe replaced. While waiting for the farrier I noticed on the living room coffee table a "Guest Book" that was this huge book of blank pages that had been filled in with wonderful drawings and stories of all the farmer's visitors. He kept colored pencils along with an assortment of pens and pencils nearby just for this book. I thought this was a great idea. That is my intent for my "Guest Book", this is the place to let me and other visitors know what you think about my art, my blogging or anything that arises while you visit. Just fill out and submit the form below then it will be posted on this page.

Nice, you are very creative with your work. Thanks for being so open to share your thoughts with the creations. Justin, Singapore Just read your post on "Sounds of Spring"; was totally absorbed by the sound of rain falling on the roof and the thunder! In this part of the world we keep waiting for a flash in the sky. Take care Mark and have a great Spring! Sadia, Saudi Arabia I just LOVE Carlos Joy! Very moving; Looking at this painting, I felt like I was sharing in the dance of the raven and woman--or maybe I AM the woman... Raven's are my favorite birds--not sure why, just always felt a bond with them. The video of your creation process was fun!Heidi, USA Hi, Just found you via blog catalog. I love your paintings and will return often to keep up with what you are doing. Whitney-Anne, UK Very vivid paintings Mark! I really liked the "Untitled Horse"the expression, colors and blending is just superb! Enjoyed my visit. Take care. Sadia, Saudi Arabia Check out Sadia's blog at Sadia's Painting Blog I spent some time this afternoon on a wonderful journey through your work on both websites. It gave me a great deal of joy. Thank you! I love looking at your work and then reading your thoughts about the process you went through. Katie, USA I love your pictures. Laura, Germany I love seeing your work, Mark. What I like most about your paintings is the bright colors and the simplicity. They speak to my nature and to my heart. Julia, USA Dear Mark, The painting arrived in fabulous condition! Very safe and it looks wonderful. I love having it. Thank you so much for going to all that trouble to send it, and for sending it with such love and care. As soon as we get it put up in its right place (we were looking at it by night, last night), I'll send you a pic. It's also just lovely to have your energy here, in such a big way, in the house. It's a very compelling painting!! It feels (and looks) as if it comes from your very soul. Barbara, Canada Love your new ones!Mark, it is such a joy seeing your evolving work! The new 'stuff' is touching into something so deep and yet ethereal at the same time. Love it. Just love it! Thanks for sharing it with me. Emily, USA Being an artist myself it's nice to visit other artists sites to see what they are doing and how they are progressing. I enjoyed the boldness and perhaps some of the minimalism of your work. At times I find that what is not there is the most interesting things of all. It is these things that make art such an important part of life. Keep up the good work and remember to always have fun with your creativity. I'm so glad I came across your site. Take care and may you be blessed with love and kindness. Gregorio, USA http://gregorioart.blogspot.com Very good art. Micheal, Italy Wow.... I love your new piece... dragonfly.... this summer while painting lillies.... dragonflies where everywhere... they’re magical... from the place of fairies and hobbits... blessings... Dawn, USA You can check out the Dawn's art at bellaoilsbydawn.com Dear Mark, It is a pleasure to see in your paintings how you are evolving. Such dramatic colors; such powerful images expressing movement and connection. That’s you!! Blessings, Margaret, USA This one (Pennesseewassee) feels so Zen and so beautiful! Julia, USA I loved the EINSTEIN post: Fantastic writing. It was a painting created with words. I particularly love these lines: "So I paint. I paint the world I see which is deep within me, the space between the breaths where universe is." AND THESE LINES: "I love quiet, I love the quiet moments of the day. Waking with out leaving the stillness of being. Opening up to the possibility of the moment. Coming from a non-egoic place is a lot calming and doesn't lead to a 'me' and 'them' which is so exhausting... but very seductive." Powerful insights and truths spoken with great eloquence. Have been reading your posts lately and really enjoying them. Also excited to see the new paintings up there. Just stunning. They speak of something new coming inside you....something evolving. Very Life affirming to see! Robin, USA Hey Mark, Just wanted to take a minute to say how much I like the new painting and how proud I am of you. Thanks for showing me how to live a dream. You're an inspiration!! Shawn, USA NICE ART! Your art is outstanding. Nice art, three thumbs up! Mark V., USA Your paintings are super nice! David, USA Hi Mark! I received your cool painting Friday. I've been sitting with it, enjoying its vitality. Thanks for sharing it with me. Jim, USA (Jim bought "Under the cover of snow they stole the Moon") From My Solo Show in Estes Park... Insightful and creative Mark - Personally I love the horses - Both Ken and I like the 'Night Dogs'. Certainly an interesting perspective. "Color is everything". Kathy and Ken What a journey it is, to travel into your paintings. It's a treat to see a large body of (your) work displayed in one place - well lit and nicely hung. I have many favorites, "Call It" (top of the stairs) at the top of my list. Cat What a romp! Thanks for the color, the dance. Thanks for the ride! Carol & Chris, Unusual, colorful, provocative, and playful. I find your art a joy to view. Jim Great exhibit! Karen Thanks Mark for displaying your art. I enjoyed seeing your interpretation of life! Especially captured by "Ice Painting", really felt the cold. Mary Jo You have been a busy painter. Interesting paintings you have displayed here. It's nice to see you pursuing your passion. Keep on painting. "Who brings the sun is my favorite. Vicki Your colors and imagery is clean and "dreamy" to me. I like that, I identify. The depth and "pow" thru color saturation is moving. PEACE,Rebecca, USA Hey Mark, loving your journal. The last post was a good reminder for me to read. I needed that. I am in a similar place, trying to go slow, slow, sloooow, and even that is too fast. Am also trying to move toward that which is most me. Of course for me that always involves a lot of solo time in nature. It replenishes me so deeply, like nothing else does. Thank you for your lovely writings and sentiments. I felt like I was there looking at the stars. Simply lovely and still. Hugs, RainforestRobin, USA HI, BROLove coming to your site and seeing what's new. Also, it's just fun! Love that you are doing what you do and loving it. Emily, USA YOU! It is a real joy to experience your personal evolution and artistic creations! WOW! Love your web site. Love many of your wondrous works, inspiring images, thank you, best wishes, Sylvie, Germany Love Your Work and Website. Beautiful thought provoking art Mark! Visiting your website and exploring is like visiting an oasis during the workday. Bob, USA I really like "Untitled Horse" and "Who Brings the Sun". Great work, keep it up. Tim, USA I'm happy because this morning your painting was delivered. I love the richness of the colors and how generously you applied the paint. I've been carrying it around deciding on the best spot to hang it. I have several good choices. That's always part of the fun. I'm happy to have your enthusiasm and imagination in my home. Thank you. And I love it that you are doing what brings you and others joy. Judith, USA Love your artist journal! Also love poking around your site and discovering all the poems, quotes, photo you have tucked here and there. It's a real treasure hunt, well worth it. Bob, USA
Congrats on a great year! ...it looks as if you have been working very hard. Hope your shows and sale go well. Love the star horses and death comes. All the best for the next year. Have a brilliant day, J, Canada I saw your painting "Call It" at MoCA in Gallery 101... and I was attracted right away. Besides creating my work for nearly the same reasons, the ravens called out to me. I like your style, and congratulate you on all the work so far. Way to go! Justina, USA Your "Grief Waits" put me in remembrance of a quote I heard only a month ago, not sure where: sadness comes like a mouse, grief, like a rat. Peace, Jason, USA I just wanted to say congratulations on the show at the gallery! It looks like you're head towards stardom (or paintdom, or whatever the term is)! The paintings are looking good, I'm always fascinated by the apparent simplicity, that still holds meaning and conveys a great deal. I'm particularly fond of "Death Comes" for some reason. Jeremy, USA I read your poem on paying attention to life. It brought back an old quotation, author unknown. In life, we are limited only by what we fail to notice. All the best to you in your chosen path. Namaste' Hal, USA Mark's Note: If you poke around this website you will find poems, prose, photos and sketches tucked away among the pages I lovedthe Star Horses...I can dream while riding...Soar Mark...Soar Dawn, USA I love three of your works, Night Dogs, coyote dreams the night and Star horses. Your style is terrific and the night stuff fascinates me. Geneva, USA
